Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc crashed out of the Miami Sprint Race before it started, as rain poured onto the track and he lost control during the tire warm-up laps. The early part of Saturday was marked by rainfall, with conditions likely more suitable for wet tires than the intermediate tires on Leclerc's car.

The Miami Sprint Race was later delayed after F1 deemed it too wet to race after listening to drivers' complaints of spray on the formation laps.

After sprint qualifying for the F1 Sprint race at the Miami Grand Prix, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc expressed his frustration at the SF-25’s “annoying” lack of pace. Things did not improve for him Saturday morning.
