A Butte man who collects Evel Knievel memorabilia has unveiled what some say is a key artifact in the downfall of the daredevil’s career.
The printing was completed using a standard laser-bed powder fusion process commonly used to 3D print metals. In this case, the metal was AlSi10Mg, a typical alloy of aluminum used in 3D printing.
Saltman won $12.75 million in damages against Knievel after the motorcycle daredevil attacked him with a baseball bat in 1977 in a rage over a book Saltman had written about the showman.
