Construction is set to begin next year and will conclude at the end of 2026, according to North Market Development Authority.

Downtown’s North Market is beginning work on a 15,000-square-foot expansion that will include the addition of new merchant stalls, a bar area and an outdoor plaza.

The new owners plan to spend about $2 million updating the 243,000-square-foot building, which opened in 2001.

Applications are open for 2025. Last year, the program received $50,000 that went toward 10 youth-led projects.
