Dawn Staley has transformed the South Carolina women's basketball program into one of the best in the country over her 17 seasons as head coach. The Gamecocks have made the NCAA Tournament in 14 consecutive seasons, made seven Final Fours and won three national championships under Staley's guidance.

Nearly two years after it was announced, the statue honoring South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley will be unveiled on April 30.

The City of Columbia, in partnership with the Statues for Equality and generous community partners, is proud to unveil a statue honoring the legendary Dawn Staley, an icon whose impact reaches far beyond the basketball court.
