The University of California, Berkeley, one of the most progressive universities in the United States, may soon find itself in the government’s crosshairs. Tensions are running high on campus, particularly among international students.

The Education Department cited 2023 media reports that UC-Berkeley had not reported “hundreds of millions of dollars” in foreign government funding.
