LONDON (Reuters) -British banks Lloyds and Barclays on Monday apologised to customers who suffered service outages over the past 48 hours, the latest in a string of such disruptions in recent years as lenders push their customers to bank online.

Lloyds Bank and Halifax customers have become the latest to be hit by problems with their banking app after issues with Barclays over the weekend. Customers of both companies – which are both part of the Lloyds Banking Group – reported issues with their banking apps this morning,

Lloyds, Halifax and the Bank of Scotland are having major problems with their apps and online banking, leaving customers unable to see their money. Lloyds Bank apologised to affected customers and said that it was “working to have everything back to normal”.

The bank says a technical issue, which began on Friday and impacted the its app, online banking and payments, has been resolved.
