City Councilman Bob Blumenfield is calling on Thursday for the Los Angeles Zoo to delay relocating its last two remaining Asian elephants to a 17-acre preserve in Tulsa, Oklahoma until additional options are explored.

Billy, 40, and Tina, 59, will be moved to the Elephant Experience and Preserve at the Tulsa Zoo. Officials say they made the decision with the elephants' care and well-being at top of mind.
