Two weeks ago, a couple of men walked into the County Line Animal Hospital with an unusual request. They wanted to buy some Winstrol, an anabolic steroid used as a muscle-builder for dogs.

Barrington Animal Hospital, 216 S. Northwest Highway, was broken into for the third time in less than two weeks over the weekend, police said. In the first incident, Sept. 13, about $200 was taken.
