Tonight, Laughton laid it all on the line and dropped the gloves with New York Islanders forward Maxim Tsyplakov in an act of revenge for Tsyplakov injuring Flyers forward Ryan Poehling the last time the two teams met. Laughton scores the TKO victory, but you've got to hand it to Tsyplakov for standing in there and taking his medicine.

Scott Laughton was back with the Flyers after being away for a personal family matter and Ryan Poehling returned to the ice in his recovery from a head injury.

The New York Islanders (23-20-7) marched into the Wells Fargo Center and soundly defeated the Philadelphia Flyers (23-24-6) 3-0 on Thursday night.

The win allowed the Islanders to leapfrog both the Flyers and Rangers into fifth place in the Metropolitan Division.
