The 28-year-old defenseman is in the final season of a two-year contract he signed with the Seattle Kraken on July 7, 2023, and can become a restricted free agent after the season.

As per Frank Seravalli, the New York Rangers have extended defenseman Will Borgen to a five-year, $4.1 million dollar contract. Borgen has tallied three points in 17 games with the Rangers since being acquired via trade from the Seattle Kraken for Kaapo Kakko.
