NEW YORK (AP) — Ricardo Scofidio, an architect who transformed an abandoned railway into New York City’s popular High Line park and was among the first in his profession to win a MacArthur Foundation “genius grant,” has died. He was 89 and had worked on museums, college buildings and other projects around the world.
