Canada can avoid tariffs if it becomes a state of the US, president tells business leaders at the World Economic Forum.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the goal of the federal government’s efforts is to ‘make sure that tariffs don’t come on Canada.’ But if the U.S. does impose tariffs he says Canada is ‘ready to respond in a strong way’ with the objective of getting the tariffs removed as soon as possible.
