The Colorado Avalanche activated captain Gabriel Landeskog off injured reserve, but again delayed his much-anticipated return when he was scratched from playing Game 2 of their first-round series against the Dallas Stars on Monday night.

Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog is getting close to making his first NHL appearance in nearly three years, but it will have to wait for another day. The team activated him from the injured list on Monday and he took part in the pregame warmups but was a scratch when the lineup was revealed for Game 2 against the Dallas Stars.
