One person is dead and another is injured after a car crashed into a North Side hotel early Saturday morning, Chicago police said.

Chicago police shot and critically injured a man armed with a knife at a downtown hotel on Monday afternoon, CPD said.

The incident led to a large police response, with some street closures and CTA bus reroutes in the busy downtown Chicago area.
