Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the Dodgers' pitching sensation, earned the National League Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding April performance, propelling the team to the top of the American League's Western division.

Yamamoto didn’t allow a hit until there were two outs in the sixth inning, flirting with the third no-hitter of his professional career and his first since his eye-popping contract brought him stateside. April’s National League Pitcher of the Month lowered his ERA to 0.90.
