As more doctors and patients turn to the latest weight-loss drugs, researchers are trying to figure out which drug is right for which patient—and at what point in their weight-loss journey.Key to making those decisions is how effective the drugs are and which side effects people might experience while taking them.

Those who take tirzepatide, the drug sold as Zepbound and Mounjaro, could lose more weight than those who take semaglutide, known as Ozempic and Wegovy, according to new research.

Nearly 32% of Zepbound users lost at least a quarter of their body weight, compared with about 16% of Wegovy users. In both groups, weight loss was about 6% lower in men than in women, AP said. Both groups saw health improvements in blood pressure, blood sugar and blood fat levels, too.
