China has lifted sanctions on five Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) as the country engages in a tariff war with the U.S. The European Parliament said on Apr. 30 that President Roberta Metsola informed the Conference of Presidents of China's decision to lift the sanctions against any member and their families,

China removed sanctions against European lawmakers amid speculation that President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs could lead to a reset of relations with the European Union.
