David Allen Elders, of Joliet, Ill., was driving a Freightliner Semi westbound on I-94 near milepost 124 in Sauk Centre Township when it veered off the road and landed on its side in the south ditch.

A Tuesday night semi-truck accident resulted in a death in Stearns County. The Minnesota State Patrol received reports of the accident at roughly 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities responded to the incident on I-94 East by milepost 124, which is near Sauk Centre.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a truck driven by 60-year-old David Elders from Joliet, Illinois left the interstate, went into the south ditch and landed on its side near Sauk Centre. The report says Elders died at the scene and his passenger, 61-year-old Kim Elders, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
