With Gordon opting out of his player option and re-signing to a one-year minimum deal, he lowered his cap hit from $3.4 million to around $2.3 million for the Sixers.

Now, that possibility is a reality. The Sixers have officially announced that they have re-signed Gordon on a deal. He was limited to only 39 games in the 2024-25 season as he underwent wrist surgery, but he averaged 6.8 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 rebounds while shooting 40.9% from deep.

The deal has been reported by Derek Bodner of PHLY to be a one year deal for the veteran’s minimum. Gordon’s initial salary was also the minimum, but by signing a new one he actually makes a little bit more money while it benefits the Sixers’ cap sheet as well.
