A year after discontinuing the HEMI engine in its pickup trucks, Ram announced it will be returning the engine to certain models.

Ram is putting the Hemi V8 engine back in its light-duty pickup trucks, part of a blitz of changes from brand head Tim Kuniskis to claw back lost share in the hyper-competitive US truck market.

The rumors are starting to bear fruit as the Hemi V8 triumphantly returns to the 2026 Ram 1500. After angering a lot of its customer base, the truck brand under the direction of Amsterdam-based Stellantis has brought back the burly engine.
