Concord Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting where a man was fatally shot while attacking a relative with a knife. The victim is expected to survive; the area is closed for investigation.

MPD Chief Pamela Smith said the deadly shooting happened after a man smashed his car into a police car and repeatedly charged at a police officer with a knife at around 6:10 p.m.
