Thirty-two protesters who occupied the University of Washington’s new engineering building were arrested Monday night, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

More than two dozen pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested Monday after occupying an engineering building at the University of Washington, where they demanded the university sever ties with Boeing over the aerospace giant’s military contracts and its role in supplying weapons used in the war in Gaza.

Students for Justice in Palestine say they were exercising their First Amendment rights, and that Rutgers suspended three students arrested.
