A massive fire tore through a nightclub in North Macedonia’s eastern town of Kocani early Sunday, killing 59 people and injuring 155, authorities said.

Fire ripped through a packed nightclub early on Sunday in the North Macedonian town of Kocani, leaving 51 people dead and more than 100 injured, after sparks ignited the roof over a live band. State news agency Mia reported that police have detained the owner of the club over the incident.
