Rep. Laurel Libby was censured and stripped of her right to vote after posting on social media photos of a transgender high school athlete.

State Representative Laurel Libby, a Republican, had been banned from voting over comments opposing transgender athletes in girls’ sports.

The Democratic-controlled state House censured Libby after finding her viral post identifying a transgender teen athlete violated its code of ethics by putting the student at risk.
