LSU and SMU are set to play a nonconference series for the first time in the history of both programs, the schools jointly announced on Monday. The pair will play in Baton Rouge on Sept. 2, 2028, and return to Dallas on Sept. 1, 2029.

BATON ROUGE – LSU football has agreed to a home-and-home series with SMU. The series will take place in 2028 and 2029 with the first matchup at Tiger Stadium on Sept. 2, 2028. LSU will make the return trip to SMU on Sept. 1, 2029 in Dallas.
