Expert witnesses for the accused killer will not challenge scientific finding that the suspect’s DNA was located on a knife sheath discovered at the crime scene, according to prosecution.

Prosecutors say Bryan Kohberger’s defense team will argue at his murder trial that someone else could have planted a knife sheath with Kohberger’s DNA at the home where four University of Idaho students were killed in 2022.

Attorneys for Bryan Kohberger plan to argue at trial that the knife sheath recovered from the crime scene could have been planted by the real killer of four University of Idaho students, according to prosecutors in a new court filing.

Bryan Kohberger’s attorneys said there are 68 terabytes of evidence in the case, and they want the state to avoid presenting “inflammatory” photos and video.
