Istanbul-based Turkish Cargo, a division of national flag-carrier Turkish Airlines, will launch scheduled freighter flights to northern Nigeria's Kano State, the company announced on Monday.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, one of the Nigeria’s fastest growing carrier, United Nigeria Airlines, is set to open a new airline route connecting Kano from Sokoto State in December.
