The man suspected of setting fire to the home of Pennsylvania’s Jewish governor, Josh Shapiro, said he targeted Shapiro because of “what he wants to do to the Palestinian people,” according to a search warrant signed by state police and quoted by local news outlets.

The suspect arrested in connection to the arson attack on Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s (D) home cited the plight of Palestinians as his motivation, according to a probable cause affidavit

Cody Balmer, the suspect in the arson, called 911 on Sunday and said he “will not take part in his plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people.”
