Family, friends and religious figures lauded the life of one of the Israeli Embassy staffers fatally shot in Washington, D.C., last week during her funeral Tuesday in the Kansas community where she grew up.

Several hundred people gathered on the George Washington University campus to honor the two Israeli Embassy employees who were killed last week in D.C.

Rodriguez’s charges were laid out in a criminal complaint. He was informed by U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew Sharbaugh during an initial appearance in federal court Thursday that some of the charges against him carry the possibility of the death penalty or life in prison, officials said in the briefing later that afternoon.
