Ahead of the Game Developers Conference next week, Google is announcing that all mobile Android games will be available by default on Google Play Games on PC unless a developer opts out. The change could significantly boost the number of games on the platform, as previously, developers had to opt in.

Google Play Games lets you play Android titles on PC, but the search giant is now turning it into a Steam rival by offering PC games too.

Google is starting to roll out the Android 14 update for Chromecast with Google TV. The new OS update weighs in at 809MB and adds support for Find My Remote and Customizable Button. Some users claim they are experiencing some issues since installing the update.

Second-generation Chromecast and Chromecast Audio devices are facing a problem that prevents them from casting content. If you try to use an affected device, you'll see one of two errors -- either, "Untrusted device: [name] couldn't be verified. This could be caused by outdated device firmware," or "We couldn't authenticate your Chromecast."
