SoCal Edison’s latest report to the California Public Utilities Commission includes new information about the Eaton Fire in Altadena and Hurst Fire in Sylmar.

New regulatory filings shows power line surges, malfunctions during high winds, including at a transmission tower near where Hurst blaze began.

The utility company said its equipment may have caused the fire but that an investigation is continuing and that they are cooperating with authorities.
