A man has been charged in Belfast in connection with the fatal stabbing of another man in Dublin last weekend. Quham Babatunde, 34, was stabbed in Dublin City Centre during the early hours of Saturday morning (February 15) during a fight after a concert.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of Quham Babatunde in Dublin city centre last weekend. The man was arrested by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) on Sunday as he was about to board a ferry from Belfast.

The 23-year-old was arrested by the police in Belfast as he tried to board a ferry to Liverpool from Northern Ireland.

Jeffrey Bangu, 21, of Cardy Rock Crescent in Balbriggan, Co Dublin appeared before Dublin District Court charged with Section 3 assault causing harm to Quaham Babatunde at Duke Lane Dublin 2 on February 15.

A Garda spokesperson said: "The man (aged 23 years) arrested in Belfast by the PSNI on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in connection with a fatal assault in the South Anne Street/Duke Lane Upper area of Dublin in the early hours of Saturday, February 15, 2025, has since been charged.

The 23-year-old has been charged in connection with the fatal assault in the South Anne Street/Duke Lane Upper area of Dublin on Saturday which resulted in the death of Quam Babatunde. The man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Friday.
