Cornell University is racing to find a new headliner after its university president rescinded the contract for a pro-Palestinian performer.

Kehlani was set to headline Cornell University‘s annual Slope Day concert — celebrating the end of the school year — on May 7, but the university announced in an email that the singer’s performance was cancelled because of her support of Gaza.

The R&B singer’s outspoken support for Palestinians had drawn criticism on the campus and beyond. Some students expressed disappointment at the cancellation.
