President Donald Trump sued “60 Minutes” for $20 billion last fall, claiming it deceptively edited an interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris. CBS denied it had done anything to give an advantage to Harris, and released the full transcript of its interview.

CNN's Jake Tapper took the highly unusual move on Tuesday evening of calling out rival CBS News, following an allegation that the network was stifling the journalistic freedom of one of its core lineup programs to appease President Donald Trump.

The CNN host weighed in on the departure of the top "60 Minutes" producer, who pointed to a lack of journalistic independence as reason for his exit.
