As Blue Diamond moves to close Sacramento plant, huge potential seen in its real estate
Blue Diamond Growers' announcement Friday of a plan to shutter its Sacramento plant and move operations elsewhere over the next two years ends a legacy of more than a century representing the region's agricultural heritage.
Blue Diamond will begin closing its Sacramento processing facility. About 600 workers will be affected by the action.
Blue Diamond says that they will transfer most of the manufacturing operations to their facilities in Turlock and Salida.
