The Michigan State football program added to its 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday night, getting a verbal commitment from North Branch offensive tackle Eli Bickel.

On Tuesday night, the Michigan State football program picked up a nice commitment at a key position when 2026 offensive tackle Eli Bickel committed to the Spartans. Bickel is a 6-foot-6, 270-pound tackle out of North Branch,

Michigan State continues to add to their 2026 recruiting class, as offensive lineman Eli Bickel committed to the Spartans via social media on Feb. 19. The commitment comes as a bit of a surprise, as Bickel was expected to take spring visits but shut things down and committed to the Spartans Wednesday evening.

Michigan State coach Jonathan Smith now has four players committed to his 2026 class. In addition to Bickel and Coffman, the others are four-star tight end Eddie Whiting from South Dakota and three-star tight end Joey Caudill from Ohio.
