It is not as if Bayern Munich has always landed its top transfer targets, but losing out to Liverpool FC on Bayer Leverkusen ace Florian Wirtz seems to have stung everyone at the club a bit. Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer admitted that Max Eberl told him that a deal for Wirtz was likely not happening.

Wirtz is among the most sought-after attacking talents in world football, having played a key role in Leverkusen’s 2023-24 Bundesliga title-winning campaign.
