Sheffield United have signed Aston Villa forward Louie Barry on a season-long loan deal. The 22-year-old played under Blades boss Ruben Selles in an injury-curtailed loan spell with Hull City last season. He started the 2024-25 campaign on loan in League One with Stockport and scored 15 goals in 23 league games for the Hatters.

Louie Barry admits his relationship with Ruben Selles was key in his decision to join Sheffield United on loan for the upcoming season. Aston Villa sanctioned his loan move to the Blades after a permanent transfer to Hull City fell through earlier this summer.

The deal does not include an option to buy the English forward, who spent nearly a year in Barcelona's La Masia academy as a teenager.
