Jonathan Aranda homered, drove in three runs and reached base five times as the Tampa Bay Rays continued their strong play on the road by holding on in the late innings for a 7-5 victory over the New York Yankees on Sunday afternoon.

Similar to two weekends ago in Tampa, the Rays never had a chance again with Fried allowing one hit over seven innings in a 3-0 Yankees victory. All of the Yankees’ runs came on a fifth-inning homer by Paul Goldschmidt, who popped a two-out blast into the second row of the right-field seats off lefty reliever Mason Montgomery.
