Theme Park company Six Flags Entertainment Corporation announced on May 1 that it plans to shut down the Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor in Bowie, Md., at the end of the 2025 season.

Six Flags is the largest amusement park operator in the U.S., with 42 amusement parks across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, featuring roller coasters, water parks, and close-up animal encounters.
