Actor Val Kilmer, best known for his roles in Hollywood's biggest films of the 80s and 90s, has reportedly died at the age of 65.
The dynamic that Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise had on screen in Top Gun was iconic in every way possible. Even though the two were adversaries, their chemistry as scene partners was highly praised. With this, it would be difficult to imagine a world where Pete Mitchell came back and Tom Kazansky didn’t.
In Top Gun, Val Kilmer was cocky and brash fighter pilot Tom “Iceman” Kazansky, who spends the movie competing with the equally cocky and brash Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, played by Tom Cruise.
