The St. Mary's Rattlers traveled to Laredo to take on TAMIU. The Rattlers built an early lead in the first quarter, which was enough to propel them to a 73-50 victory over the Dustdevils.

TAMIU traveled to Western New Mexico on Saturday to face the Mustangs in a Lone Star Conference matchup. The Dustdevils' strong defensive performance helped lead them to the 61-53 victory.

Mars researchers from the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson visited Eldorado Valley outside Las Vegas in the summer of 2009 to learn more about dust devils, which also occur on Mars.
