The Washington State Patrol will soon have a new tool to catch drivers speeding through highway work zones. Starting in a few weeks, a speed camera mounted on an orange trailer will rotate through work zones across Washington in a bid to keep workers safe on state highways.

Senate Bill 241 would authorize the cameras in construction zones, joining 42 other states that have already adopted such measures to protect workers.
