Entering Sunday's contest against the Portland Trail Blazers, the San Antonio Spurs were five games behind the Sacramento Kings for the last spot in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament. In theory, if the Spurs won all of their games and the Kings lost all of theirs, the Spurs would be able to make the Play-In.
