The Clay Fire was one of several fires that broke out in Southern California Tuesday as parts of the region sees red flag warnings through Thursday.

Gibbel Fire initially started 4:40 p.m. Jan. 23 in Riverside County. It has burned 15 acres after being active for 15 hours. As of Friday morning, the fire crew managed to contain 90% of this wildfire. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.

Jurupa Valley fire crews battled a brush fire in the Santa Ana River bottom, after having extinguished a blaze in a similar location last week.

As the relentless Santa Ana winds sweep through, a new fire threat emerged in Jurupa Valley, leaving residents on edge and firefighters racing against time.

Clay Fire initially started 5 p.m. Jan. 21 in Riverside County. After being active for two days, it has burned 39 acres. As of Thursday evening, 85% of the fire was brought under containment by a crew of 50 firefighters. The cause of it remains under investigation.

Fire crews said they stopped the forward progress of a fire that broke out on January 21 along the Santa Ana River bottom in Jurupa Valley.
