A prosecutor says he will announce Thursday whether to hold a second trial for a Michigan police officer who fatally shot a Black man in the back of the head after a tumultuous traffic stop.

A 22-year-old has been charged in shooting three police officers. Police said a female officer was shot in the face.

Police said negotiators were on the phone with the suspect for over an hour, trying to peacefully end the incident. The suspect fired at officers multiple times.
