New footage has emerged of the mid-air collision between an American Airlines flight and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport.

One clip, posted by X, formerly Twitter, user Tyler Anderson, shows the plane in the far distance in the night sky before it collides with the helicopter. In the clip, aviation control clears the flight to land, advising PAT25 helicopter to watch out for traffic.

Audio has been posted on social media which purportedly reveals the conversation between the control tower at Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) and an Army Black Hawk helicopter shortly before it collided with an American Airlines flight carrying 64 people on Wednesday. The aircraft then crashed into the Potomac River.

As to what may have gone wrong and caused an American Airlines commercial jet and a military helicopter to collide, we spoke with a former NTSB investigator and former Black Hawk helicopter pilot to weigh in on the subject.

Officials say there are no survivors among the 67 passengers on the aircrafts that collided above Washington, D.C.
