The Twins announced during Wednesday night’s game against the Oakland A’s Pablo Lopez will be out eight to 12 weeks with a strain in his throwing shoulder.

Minnesota Twins right-hander Pablo López is expected to be sidelined 8 to 12 weeks because of a strained shoulder. The Twins said Wednesday that López has a Grade 2 strain of the teres major muscle.

Injury is a serious roadblock for the Twins, who entered Wednesday tied for the third-best record in the American League.
