"Subsistence' is the word used to describe a traditional way of life among many Alaska Natives ... Gathering yields the berries, wild roots, seaweed and other vegetable resources.

Wild Alaska Live will air on PBS on the 23rd, 26th and 30th July at 8pm ET. This is the second time PBS have worked with the BBC on a major wildlife spectacle after Big Blue Live in 2015.
