A "choco-holic" opossum who went to town on a Nebraska family's Costco chocolate cake just days before Valentine's Day is now in recovery.

Earlier this week, a furry patient arrived to the veterinary clinic at Nebraska Wildlife Rehab in need of some medical attention. It was a wild opossum who’d been picked up by animal control. She'd been behaving somewhat strangely — but she wasn’t exactly injured.

A Costco chocolate cake left on a deck is fair game to a Gretna neighborhood opossum, who is recovering at Nebraska Wildlife Rehab.
